DAY 6 // GIRLIE GIRLS LIKE FORTS

Angie’s been scouring Etsy.com for a “cute” (not one of my favorite words, but appropriate here) headband with a flower on it. Her friend Aleks gave her this one today. So, of course, Ella had to get all dolled up for her nap on Mommy’s lap.

She was pretty worn out today. She had a big day yesterday taking almost all of her day time bottles from the bottle. But, got really tired overnight and ended up “tubing” most of the PM feedings. So, she slept a LOT today. She and I decided that her isolet (incubator bed) is her personal little fort. I mean, who doesn’t like to pretend that they’re in a fort? They cover it so it’s a lot like a tent anyway. Doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch to me!

Keep praying that she’s gaining weight. She’s been on a steady 5 grams/day growth, but when there are 30 grams/ounce, it’s gonna take a while for her to reach a good enough weight to come home at this rate.

Also, pray that we all stay healthy. With Isaac going to daycare there are a lot more opportunities for illness and we like spending time with our little girl, so we want to stay healthy. Especially, since we’re planning on taking Isaac to meet her on Saturday… but don’t tell him. It’s a surprise!
